The CPRE certification program: Four levels of success

The CPRE certification program offers you maximum flexibility. You decide how deep you want to delve into the subject matter, when you want to prepare for an exam, and whether you do this as part of a training course or as self-study. You determine the path - from the basics at Foundation Level to Expert Level.


The four levels build on each other, so you start with the CPRE Foundation Level:

Level 1: Foundation

Service Desk Institute (SDI)

Service Desk Management v8 (SDM)

An effective service desk manager is required to have a broad range of skills, including people-management abilities, marketing awareness, financial acumen and presentation savviness. The SDM qualification recognises an individual’s knowledge of the competency requirements and skills required to be a manager of a service desk. An SDM certified professional will be able to:

Service Desk Analyst v8 (SDA)

SDA is designed to provide service desk and support analysts with the skills to work consistently within industry recognised standards and in-line with best practices guidelines.

The SDA qualification certifies an individual’s knowledge of customer service and support competencies. An SDA certified individual will be able to:

  • Demonstrate understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a service desk professional

Prince2 Project Management Foundation (Version 7)
