COURSE OUTLINE


Module 1: Defining Campaign’s Goal

  • Who are our users and what are they interested in?
  • What channel and format will convey our message?
  • How will we spread the word?


Module 2: EMPATHY

  • Who is my user? What matters to this person?
  • Learn about the audience for whom you are designing by:
  • SAY: What are some quotes and defining words your user said?
  • DO: What actions and behaviors did you notice?
  • THINK: What might your user be thinking? What does this tell you about his other beliefs?
  • FEEL: What emotions might your subject be feeling?


Module 3: DEFINE

  • What are their needs?
  1. Create a point-of-view that is based on user needs, and insights.
  • Wild ideas encouraged!
  1. Brainstorm and come up with as many creative solutions as possible.


Module 4: PROTOTYPE

  • How can I show my idea?
  • How can I SELL my product or services?
  1. Build a representation of one or more of your ideas to show to others


Module 5: TEST & VALIDATION

  • What worked? What didn’t?
  1. Share your prototyped idea with your original user for feedback.
  2. Observe and learn how can you improve your work further
  3. Discussion of the next steps
